ABOUT CITYSERVE
Alabama
A collaborative network of faith-based, government, corporate, and community leaders connected to empower families to overcome poverty, brokenness, and traumas that have impacted their families. TOGETHER we will meet the heart and the felt needs as we build a more compassionate and caring community throughout the state of Alabama.
OUR MISSION
BUILD BRIDGES
We are building bridges between the community of compassion and the community of need. Our goal is to ensure that Alabama’s generosity reaches our most help needed families living in our urban, suburban, and rural communities beyond our Hub.
CREATE PARTNERSHIPS
We are building partnerships that empower community-based organizations that provide direct services to individuals and families. Organizations that are committed to remaining in the community after the volunteers go home.
Our ultimate goal is the transformation of individuals and families. We believe that a community is not transformed until the hearts and lives of people have been transformed. We empower the individual, to empower the family, to in turn empower the community.

HOW THIS WORKS
CityServe Alabama
HUB
A Hub is a church or NGO with the capacity to be a warehouse distribution center of food, apparel, and household items to local churches or Christian organizations (Pods).
PODS
A Pod is a local church or NGO in covenant with CityServe. They receive products from their assigned Hub and equip their Heroes to meet the practical and spiritual needs of their neighborhoods.
HEROES
A Hero is an individual trained and mobilized by their Pod to give the donated products to those in need. The gift provides opportunities for the Hero to build relationships and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
